About the Role
Davidson is seeking an Associate, U.S. Tax to join our growing Tax Practice and jump start their tax career. We strive to guide people and businesses through the intricacies of taxes on both sides of the border and provide a meaningful holistic tax experience.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance and planning services while working closely with managers, and partners as you build upon your accounting and tax career.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days look exactly the same—but here’s a snapshot of what you’ll get your hands into:
- Develop skills and gain proficiency to prepare and support U.S. personal and corporate tax compliance. From high-net worth individuals to small and medium-sized enterprises and large multinational corporations.
- Assist with multi-state filings, apportionment, and nexus considerations.
- Develop skills and gain proficiency to prepare responses to CRA and IRS and state tax authority notices, audits, and inquiries.
- Research U.S. tax legislation, regulations, and guidance, and clearly document technical positions and conclusions.
- Identify and assess tax risks, efficiencies, and planning opportunities for both individual and corporate clients.
- Gain the skills and confidence to excel in your CPA journey.
- Build a strong foundation for a long-term professional career in tax.
What You’ll Bring to the Table

- A completed undergraduate degree + CPA PEP prerequisites.
- Passion and intention to pursue your Canadian or U.S. CPA designation.
- A team-first and client-oriented mindset.
- Strong aptitude for learning and ability to adapt to new challenges.
- Confidence working independently while collaborating closely with managers and partners.
- Bonus points if you have previous accounting or tax experience!

Let’s Talk Numbers
We believe in transparency and fairness when it comes to compensation. For this role, the annual salary is $55,000 depending on your experience and what you bring to the table.
