Our Canadian operations, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for an organized, detail and deadline-oriented individual to join our Securities Services team.
Responsibilities:
Attend to the securities counter, handling the intake of physical certificates and cheques.
Respond to client and broker inquiries in a timely manner.
Process journals for reconciliation of inter-branch transit deliveries of physical certs.
Check and receive in physical securities from private placement closings and process unit split exchanges.
Receive stock certificates into both client and control accounts
Escrow Release processing
Key DRS deposits into CDS and DTC
Perform additional responsibilities or projects as assigned;
Maintaining an openness to cross-train and learn other areas of the Securities Services Department in order to provide support where necessary.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 - 3 years of financial industry experience.
Previous experience handling physical stock certificates, warrants, and DRS is an asset
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team (team player perspective is key).
Hard-working, positive, dedicated and prepared to work overtime when necessary.
Strong level of MS Outlook, Excel and Word required.
Familiarity with Dataphile is an advantage.
