Nous recherchons un(e) architecte logiciel visionnaire pour piloter la conception de bout en bout d’une base logicielle évolutive pour notre SoC multiprocesseur RISC‑V 64 bits de nouvelle génération : SoC‑PIC64. Vous jouerez un rôle décisif de la conception au déploiement du logiciel, en veillant à ce que notre plateforme respecte les normes strictes de fiabilité et de sécurité des secteurs Aérospatial, Défense et Automobile.

Nous développons des logiciels pour les SoC 64 bits haute performance et de pointe de Microchip, tels que les PIC64HX et PIC64HPSC — notre premier produit RISC‑V conçu pour les marchés Aérospatial & Défense (A&D) et industriels.

We are looking for a visionary Software Architect to lead the end-to-end design of a scalable software foundation for our next-generation 64-bit RISC-V multi-processor SoC-PIC64. You will bridge the gap between high-level concept and deployment-ready reality, ensuring our platform meets the rigorous reliability and security standards of the Aerospace, Defense, and Automotive industries.

Our Team

We are building software for Microchip’s leading-edge, high-performance 64-bit System-on-Chip (SoC) devices, such as the PIC64HX and PIC64HPSC—our first RISC‑V offering designed for Aerospace & Defense (A&D) and industrial markets.

These SoCs integrate clusters of high‑performance CPUs running Linux or an RTOS, and provide advanced connectivity such as Ethernet/TSN, Ethernet switching, and PCIe/CXL, along with additional peripheral interfaces and specialized functions.

Our software serves as the foundation for mission‑focused solutions developed by our customers for control and autonomous systems in space, aerospace, automotive, and other markets. We focus on technical excellence, teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement in an open and dynamic environment.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Responsabilités clés

• Mener l’architecture : Définir l’architecture logicielle de bout en bout d’un nouveau SoC RISC‑V, en veillant au respect d’exigences strictes en temps réel, performance et sécurité.
• Définir les normes et gouvernance : Établir des standards de codage et des lignes directrices d’architecture alignés sur les meilleures pratiques (A&D/Automobile). Mettre en place une gestion rigoureuse des exigences et une traçabilité de bout en bout.
• Mentorer techniquement : Animer des comités d’architecture et des revues techniques, en apportant direction et mentorat aux équipes d’ingénierie afin d’assurer une rigueur de conception constante.
• Gérer le cycle de vie du produit : Superviser les conceptions logicielles, les implémentations et les preuves de vérification. S’assurer que tous les enregistrements objectifs (Jira/outils de cycle de vie) répondent aux attentes qualité des clients.
• Collaborer : Agir comme visage technique de l’architecture lors des échanges avec les clients. Collaborer avec les équipes Marketing et Applications pour influencer la feuille de route produit et assurer la réussite client.

• Expertise éprouvée : Expérience significative en tant qu’architecte logiciel pour des systèmes embarqués à haute fiabilité, incluant l’architecture de plateformes à partir de zéro.
• Expérience industrielle : Expérience en développement avionique ou automobile, avec une solide maîtrise de la traçabilité des exigences et d’une livraison fondée sur des preuves.
• Expertise technique : Expertise en RTOS, architectures multiprocesseurs et programmation bas niveau (C/C++ et Python).
• Leadership : Capacité démontrée à encadrer des équipes d’ingénierie et à communiquer des concepts techniques complexes aux clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Define the end-to-end software architecture for a new RISC-V SoC, ensuring it meets strict real-time, performance, and security benchmarks.
• Standards & Governance: Establish coding standards and architectural guidelines aligned with industry best practices (A&D/Automotive). Implement rigorous requirements management and end-to-end traceability.
• Technical Mentorship: Lead architecture and technical review forums, providing direction and mentorship to engineering teams to ensure consistent design rigor.
• Lifecycle Management: Oversee software designs, implementations, and verification evidence. Ensure all objective records (Jira/lifecycle tools) meet customer quality expectations.
• Strategic Partnership: Act as the technical face of the architecture in customer discussions. Partner with Marketing and Application s teams to influence product roadmap and customer success.

Required Qualifications

• Proven Expertise: Extensive experience as a Software Architect for high-reliability embedded systems, including architecting platforms from scratch.
• Industry Context: A background in Avionics or Automotive development with deep knowledge of requirements traceability and evidence-based delivery.
• Technical Mastery: Strong expertise in RTOS, multi-processor architectures, and low-level programming (C/C++ and Python).
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor engineering teams and communicate complex technical concepts to customers.

Nice to Have

• Compliance Standards: Familiarity with DO-178C/ED-12C or ISO 26262/ASPICE.
• Modern Platforms: Hands-on experience with RISC-V architectures and embedded Linux in mixed-workload systems.
