Role:


Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Payable and Receivable, the Accounts Receivable Specialist is a key member to the finance operations team in preparing invoices, tracking incoming payments, reconciling customer accounts, and resolving discrepancies for multiple entities efficiently and on a timely manner. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will also support the company in process and system optimization initiative in finance operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accounts receivable process for multiple companies and locations, including applying customer payments, investigating discrepancies, issuing adjustments and credit notes as needed.
  • Reconcile payments received on bank statements to cash book on a weekly basis as part of the bank reconciliation process.
  • Build strong relationships and communicate with customers and sales reps.
  • Follow company/department procedures and policies, and communicate with manager with any significant deviations or concerns when reconciling customer accounts.
  • Work with other internal departments and customers to resolve issues or escalate to manager relating customer invoices, past due accounts, or disputes.
  • Ensure documentation is accurately organized and stored.
  • Weekly travel to complete bank run Cover receptionist duties during lunch hour (shared duty between AP and AR).
  • Other various related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • 2 years previous accounts receivable experience required.
  • Strong data entry skills with experience dealing with high volume of invoices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well within a team and other departments within the organization.
  • Valid drivers license and vehicle requirement for bank runs.

Please note that the expected new hire salary range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sunrise Farms. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
