The Opportunity
You will join a stable, collaborative finance team where your contributions have a visible impact. This role offers the perfect balance of core financial management and high-level analysis, making it an ideal environment for a CPA candidate to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare month-end financial statements, journals, and maintain accurate ledgers and balance sheets.
Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage accounts payable/receivable, post sales entries, and handle daily cash receipts.
Reconciliations & Compliance: Execute bank reconciliations, GST payments, and ensure total compliance with financial regulations.
Business Intelligence: Analyze budgets and provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Controller and other departments to ensure cross-functional efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA Track: Currently enrolled in the CPA program (highly preferred).
Experience: Proven experience in a professional accounting role with a strong grasp of accounting principles.
Tech Savvy: Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.). Experience with New Views is considered a significant asset.
Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
