The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant with 2–3 years of experience. In this role, you will manage accounts receivable and payable, generate invoices, handle expense reports, and ensure overall financial accuracy for the company. This is a full-time, on-site position in our Vancouver office, Monday to Friday, where you will collaborate closely with various teams to support smooth financial operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Generate and issue invoices for services rendered.
- Regularly update Google Sheets related to AR, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
- Bank and credit card monthly reconciliations.
- Review and process employees’ expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Record all transactions and expenses in QuickBooks Online.
- Verify receipts, check for completeness, and ensure proper recording of taxes.
- Assist in reconciling accounts and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Perform accounts payable functions as needed which include purchase orders, bill creation, and bill payments.
- Assist in month-end close processes and reconciliations.
- Provide clear and effective communication with clients and internal teams regarding billing and financial inquiries.
What You’ll Bring
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in an advertising or creative industry.
- Educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to liaise with internal teams and external clients.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, and Google Sheets).
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
