    • Prior experience in financial lines or Executive Risk is strongly preferred
  • Level 2 General Insurance License
  • Passion for client service and a commitment to delivering a best-in-class experience
  • High attention to detail — particularly in policy wording review, coverage gap identification, and proposal accuracy
  • Strong work ethic; self-motivated and accountable

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable presenting to clients and engaging with senior underwriters
  • Working knowledge of Directors' & Officers' Liability, Employment Practices Liability, and/or Fiduciary Liability; desire to deepen technical expertise across all Executive Risk lines
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience; prior experience in financial lines or Executive Risk is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience in account management and, ideally, new business development
  • Recognized industry designation preferred (CAIB, CIP, CRM, BCIT Risk Management, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service an existing book of business focused on Directors' & Officers' Liability (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Fiduciary Liability, and related Executive Risk lines
  • Deliver the highest standard of client service across all accounts
  • Lead the marketing and placement of Executive Risk accounts; work closely with specialty underwriters to structure and bind coverage
  • Communicate proactively with clients and provide advice tailored to their risk profile and business context
  • Remain current on Executive Risk market developments, coverage innovations, and carrier appetite changes
  • Be proactive in anticipating client needs, identifying coverage gaps, and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Recognize and actively pursue new business opportunities within the Executive Risk space
  • Attend and actively participate in industry events, carrier forums, and company meetings; actively build your network
  • Conduct market research on prospects and remain current on business issues relevant to D&O, EPL, and Cyber/Tech E&O
  • Follow up on leads and convert prospects within the ProEx practice
  • Generate new business revenue by presenting and placing Executive Risk coverage solutions
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the ProEx practice verticals
  • Meet and/or exceed monthly budgeted targets
  • Continue professional development to enhance technical skills and market knowledge in Executive Risk
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

A Day in the Life

  • Collaborate effectively with the ProEx team (VP Placement Specialist, Practice Leader, and support staff) to service all aspects of Executive Risk accounts
  • Participate in the Critical Path renewal process where applicable
  • Attend client meetings and calls; prepare for and contribute to D&O and Executive Liability renewal conversations
  • Collect client data, develop expert submissions, identify coverage gaps, and present coverage solutions; negotiate rates and terms with underwriters; present proposals and bind coverage
  • Prepare proposals, coverage summaries, cover notes, endorsement instructions, and client correspondence to the standard expected of a specialty ProEx practice
  • Process all documentation in accordance with HUB workflows, including: Certificates of Insurance; Cover notes; Summaries and Proposals; New Business, Renewals, and Endorsements; Premium Finance contracts; Invoicing
  • Attach all documentation accurately and promptly into EPIC
  • Manage and collect Account Receivables
  • Update CORE and the lost business tracker for reporting purposes
  • Maintain accuracy of electronic files in EPIC, Policy Works, Certificate Exchange, and physical files as per agency standards
  • Advise clients on applicable tax and licensing implications (clients to be directed to seek professional accounting or legal advice as appropriate)
  • Exercise oversight over the New Business and Renewal Process and take ultimate responsibility for protecting HUB from E&O exposure on assigned accounts
  • Be proactive in the claims process; work with the claims team and clients to facilitate effective claim resolution
