Are you a results-driven sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding targets? Do you thrive on building strong relationships and driving sales growth? We are currently seeking an energetic, dynamic Account Executive, Special Markets to join our close knit team!

Reporting to the Special Markets (iASM) National Director, the Account Executive is responsible for maintaining and growing an existing block of Special Risk business while seeking out new opportunities for growth with existing and new brokers/consultants in an assigned territory.

What Will I be Doing:

  • Establish new and develop existing relationships with brokers and distribution partners with regular contact including on-site visits.

  • You will also sustain and grow an existing block of Special Risk business. You will also seek out opportunities to cross/up-sell products.

  • Conduct financial negotiations on annual renewals.

  • Lead and participate in finalist presentations, advisor and client presentations

  • Participate in industry events representing iA Special Markets

  • Act as the liaison for all aspects of the client lifecycle, including product explanations, endorsements, claims issues, communications, etc.

  • In conjunction with the Regional Manager and/or office manager or underwriting supervisor, develop rates that reflect risk, are competitive and will not jeopardize profitability

  • Gather all relevant information and prepare quotations. Review all policies prior to renewal.  Confirm information on file is current and additional sales opportunities exist.  Confirm rate is reflective of risk and claims experience

What We are Looking For:

  • An undergraduate degree at an accredited university or college, preferably in Business/Commerce, with an emphasis in marketing (preferred but not required).

  • 3+ years in special risk or group life and health

  • 2+ years of sales experience

  • Strong relationship building, communication, and negotiation skills

  • LLQP is required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of starting the role)

  • Reliable access to a vehicle and a valid Drivers License

What is Not Required but Would be an Asset:

  • Bilingual (French and English) skills

  • CEBS or FLMI designation (or would be willing to complete within three years)

Compensation:

The typical base hiring range for this position is from $75,000 and $89,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on skills, job-related knowledge, experience, and internal equity. This role would also be entitled to participate in a variable commission plan.
