About Plooto

Plooto is on a mission to revolutionize how accounting firms, bookkeepers, and their SMB clients manage payments and cash flow. Our platform gives customers time back, the accuracy they can trust, and greater control over payables and receivables. We're here to champion the people building the real economy, and we do it with heart, hustle, and integrity.

About the Role

As a Plooto Account Executive on the Channel Sales team, you own the full relationship with accounting and bookkeeping firms across Canada: sourcing pipeline from inbound, outbound, and industry events, meeting firm principals and staff in person and virtually, and bringing both the firm and their clients onto the Plooto platform. You're a full-cycle closer, just as comfortable running a fast-moving pipeline as you are building trust face to face, whether that's in a boardroom or at an industry event.

What You'll Do
  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close, for accounting and bookkeeping firm partners and their SMB clients across Canada
  • Manage inbound leads, qualify opportunities, and run outbound prospecting to build your own pipeline of accounting and bookkeeping firms
  • Source and convert new pipeline from industry events, conferences, and accounting community gatherings across Ontario and Canada
  • Book and deliver in-person and virtual product demos that clearly articulate Plooto's value to the firm and their clients
  • Travel regularly within your territory, with a home base in Ontario, to meet firms and prospects face to face
  • Guide new firm partners through onboarding and drive their clients' adoption of Plooto to maximize activation
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data in Salesforce, forecast with precision, and consistently exceed revenue targets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Marketing, and Partnerships on handoffs, event coverage, and channel strategy
  • Be an active contributor to team culture, sharing best practices and living Plooto's values every day
What You'll Bring
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a SaaS environment, with deals sourced across inbound, outbound, and event or conference channels
  • Field sales experience: confident and effective running in-person meetings, not only virtual ones
  • Based in Canada, Ontario preferred, with the ability to travel regularly within your territory
  • Strong experience managing pipeline and opportunities in Salesforce, and forecasting with precision
  • Confident and engaging in booking and delivering product demos to accounting and bookkeeping audiences
  • Experience closing high-velocity deals while managing multiple priorities
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
  • High level of accountability, curiosity, and adaptability
Nice to Have
  • Experience selling to or partnering with accounting or bookkeeping firms, or a background in the accounting/fintech ecosystem
  • Experience in a channel or partner sales motion, not only direct sales
  • Familiarity with AP/AR automation, payments, or SaaS for SMBs
  • An existing network within the Canadian accounting or bookkeeping community
