The Components Engineer evaluates electronic component selections, qualifies alternate manufacturers and second sources, performs bench testing, and maintains technical documentation. The role collaborates with hardware, product development, manufacturing engineering, and supply chain teams to address shortages, obsolescence, lifecycle risks, cost, and component availability. It supports component-control processes, contract manufacturing, and resilient hardware product development.

Build automated reports, dashboards, analytical workflows, benchmarks, and data-driven tools using utility and AMI data. Analyze outage performance, power quality, device performance, reliability, and operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Support customer analytics onboarding, data validation, reporting configuration, and ongoing insights. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and NOC teams while applying Python, SQL, AI, and machine learning techniques.
