The role gathers and analyzes requirements, balances stakeholder needs, develops airspace change proposals, coordinates with operational units and regulators, and supports new separation standards. It also develops monitoring and risk mitigation practices to maintain system safety and achieve strategic objectives. The position requires aviation operational expertise, project management, stakeholder facilitation, and frequent domestic travel.

Leads a national portfolio for air traffic services learning development. Manages learning quality specialists, instructional designers, and subject-matter experts; oversees curriculum, courseware, simulations, localization, evaluation, and regulatory alignment. Develops training procedures, budgets, resource plans, and performance standards while supporting teams, influencing stakeholders, and coordinating with unions and management. The role is hybrid with occasional travel across Canadian locations.

Manage the safe, efficient flow of air traffic in the Vancouver Flight Information Region as an Area (IFR) or Tower (VFR) Controller. Complete paid classroom, simulator, specialty and on‑the‑job training; undergo cognitive testing, interviews and assessment centre. Roles require strong verbal communication, memorization, decision‑making, teamwork and resilience. Candidates must relocate within the Vancouver FIR and meet medical, security and drug‑screening requirements.
