Develop and maintain shared computational imaging software that converts ultrasound data into image series. Build and optimize beamforming, filtering, motion estimation, and reconstruction methods for real-time and large-scale processing. Validate performance through benchmarks, regression tests, uncertainty analysis, and reproducible experiments. Improve GPU and memory efficiency, establish device requirements, and evaluate learned imaging methods while collaborating with scientists and engineers.

Develop and maintain Python-based image-analysis workflows for registration, detection, background subtraction, drift correction, and response measurement. Validate accuracy and repeatability using controls and regression tests, align ultrasound with MRI and anatomical references, and integrate methods with acquisition and reconstruction systems. Optimize processing for large datasets while providing documented tools scientists can use independently.

Provide high-judgment executive support to three leaders, including two co-founders. Manage calendars, communications, travel, logistics, expenses, relationship tracking, meeting preparation, and confidential information. Improve leadership operating systems, information flow, decision follow-through, and selected operational projects. The role requires exceptional prioritization, discretion, anticipation, organization, and the ability to use AI to increase leverage while supporting a frontier science and engineering organization.

The Senior Recruiter will manage full-cycle recruiting for technical and scientific roles at Merge Labs, partnering with hiring managers and sourcing passive candidates in competitive markets.

Lead architecture, design, validation, and productization of mixed-signal electronics and instrumentation for high-bandwidth brain interfaces. Own PCB/system architecture, SI/PI, EMC/EMI, power, clocks/triggers, automated test and manufacturing transfer. Build reusable scientist-facing measurement hardware, define quantitative performance criteria, collaborate cross-functionally, manage vendors/CMs, and mentor engineers to establish EE best practices.

Own and build the accounting function: monthly/quarterly/annual close, GL, reconciliations, AP/expenses, procurement, CapEx/fixed assets, technical accounting policies, controls, audit readiness, finance systems/integrations, and financial reporting for leadership and investors.
