Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues involving Arista hardware, software, hyperscaler networks, and AI infrastructure. Investigate network problems, perform root-cause analysis, collaborate with engineering, sales, and account teams, and document technical resolutions. The role supports installation, operation, and maintenance while requiring expertise in networking protocols, Linux, packet analysis, high-speed connectivity, and cloud or AI networking environments.

Develop and maintain Linux kernel features for Arista EOS, integrate upstream kernel releases, and qualify CPU and NIC hardware. Build automated tests, troubleshoot customer and system-test issues, contribute patches to the upstream Linux community, and own projects from definition through deployment. The role also provides technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship to junior engineers.

Develop and deliver software for Arista’s Linux-based EOS network operating system. Responsibilities include designing and implementing C, C++, and Python features; writing specifications, test plans, and automated tests; debugging routing and packet-forwarding issues; supporting customer network troubleshooting; collaborating on larger distributed systems and routing projects; reviewing code; mentoring engineers; and managing project schedules.
