ZenaTech Acquires L.D. King to Expand Drone Services in Southern California

ZenaTech, Inc. a provider of AI-powered drone technology, Drone as a Service, enterprise SaaS and quantum computing solutions, has acquired Los Angeles-based civil engineering and land surveying firm L.D. King, Inc., marking the company’s 20th acquisition to date.

According to a news release, the acquisition strengthens ZenaTech’s drone solutions footprint in Southern California, one of the nation’s most wildfire- and natural disaster-prone regions, while advancing its broader Drone as a Service expansion strategy.

Chief Executive Officer Shaun Passley said in a statement the company has surpassed its first-year goals for Drone as a Service, highlighting the speed and discipline of its acquisition-driven growth strategy.

“We have exceeded our first-year objectives for Drone as a Service, underscoring both the pace and discipline with which we are scale our roll up strategy of multiple industries ripe for drone modernizing, representing significant untapped opportunities for Drone as a Service applications,” Passley said. “The global drone services market is growing at over 36 percent annually and is expected to reach $355 billion by 2032, according to Pragma Market Research, creating a substantial long-term opportunity for scalable, recurring revenue.”
