Role Summary/Purpose:
The VP, QVC Group Analytics Leader is responsible for driving the overall analytics vision for the QVC and HSN portfolios. S/he provides strategic insights and analytical thought leadership to drive profitable decision making. This leader will collaborate closely with the GM, client cross-functional team, and analytics centers of excellence to provide consumer analyses, segmentation, forecasting, reporting, and other projects related to improving portfolio performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities:
Develop analytics agenda and roadmap for each portfolio to drive business goals
Identify actionable profit-based marketing and product opportunities through consumer analysis and data driven insights
Propose new analytical capabilities and solutions to optimize business value and customer experience
Partner with GM, Finance, Marketing, and Credit to develop integrated solutions to grow net income, sales, and penetration
Provide strategic thought leadership to influence Synchrony and client business leaders to implement strategies based on data driven insights
Leverage client data (“datashare”) to develop analytical solutions to program, joint, and client business objectives
Develop business case presentations and action plans to drive marketing strategy, including targeting and segmentation, test design, channel optimization, product opportunities, and cost/benefit analyses
Establish learning agendas to measure bottom-line impact of strategies by leveraging ALP and advanced analytical tools
Produce campaign analytics to track results of strategies deployed, creating a "test and learn" culture through ongoing assessment and optimization
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Synchrony and client analytics professionals, prioritizing workload across teams to ensure highest-quality execution and delivery of strategic analytics, diagnostics, ad-hoc analyses, and reporting
Act as a strategic and analytical consultant for large-scale initiatives, providing guidance and leadership for the design, analysis, and measurement throughout all phases of the project
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or in lieu of degree, GED/high school diploma and 9+ years of work experience establishing and managing marketing or portfolio analytics in the financial services, credit card, retail or consumer based industry
A minimum of 7+ years of work experience to include:
4+ years of experience providing analytical insight within the financial services, retail, or other consumer based industry
3+ years of experience using tools such as SAS, SQL, Tableau or similar data querying and analysis tools
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Desired Characteristics:
Proven hands-on experience using SAS, SQL, and/or open-source tools (e.g., R, Python)
Experience with Tableau
Understanding of credit card industry financial P&L drivers and sensitivities
Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers and business strategies with analytical insights
Client facing experience a plus
Experience managing analytical professionals
Understanding of targeting and segmentation, retail analytic tools, and advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint strongly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences including senior business leaders, other senior analytics leaders, and highly technical talent
Ability to synthesize/analyze complex and diverse information and to develop and recommend strategies and communicate them clearly
Demonstrated ability to manage remotely located domestic and international teams
Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 135,000.00 - 230,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
