At Serve Robotics, we’re reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It’s designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses.

The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

Who We Are

We are tech industry veterans in software, hardware, and design who are pooling our skills to build the future we want to live in. We are solving real-world problems leveraging robotics, machine learning and computer vision, among other disciplines, with a mindful eye towards the end-to-end user experience. Our team is agile, diverse, and driven. We believe that the best way to solve complicated dynamic problems is collaboratively and respectfully.

As VP of IT Infrastructure & Operations, you will lead our IT strategy and operations across delivery depots, engineering labs, and corporate offices and subsidiaries. You’ll lead the team and own IT infrastructure, standards, security implementation, and support services that power our daily operations and robotics development. This role balances strategy and execution - scaling systems for rapid growth while ensuring reliability, compliance, and a great user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the IT roadmap aligned with Serve’s growth, expansion, and R&D goals, owning budget, vendor selection, contract decisions and key technology investment prioritization.

  • Partner with engineering, security, operations, HR, finance, facilities and growth teams to ensure IT enables business expansion and robotics innovation.

  • Lead IT planning for new markets, facilities, acquisitions, and major company initiatives.

  • M&A - lead IT diligence and IT integration strategy and execution, ensuring a seamless integration phase with minimal disruption to the business.

  • Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud services with a focus on uptime and scalability.

  • Implement collaboration, productivity, and ERP systems that support cross-functional teams.

  • Support IoT and edge-device deployments critical to robotics delivery operations.

  • Partner with security leaders to define and drive access controls, identity management, segregation of duties, endpoint protections, and incident response.

  • Own the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of IT security controls within the enterprise technology environment.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, SOC 2, GDPR, and related requirements.

  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing IT team.

  • Establish and deliver on SLAs for IT support across offices, labs, and depots.

  • Consolidate and lead the management of SaaS applications, vendors and budgets.

  • Create automated, frictionless experiences in Identity Access Management, IT Help Desk and Employee Lifecycle Automation.

  • Drive continuous improvement in helpdesk and IT services to maximize productivity.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in IT infrastructure and operations, with 8+ years in leadership.

  • Proven experience managing complex, distributed enterprise IT environments in high-growth, tech-driven companies.

  • Experience managing live operations across multiple time zones and supporting rapid operational expansion.

  • Deep expertise in networking, cloud platforms, identity management, and enterprise systems.

  • Track record of hiring and scaling IT teams and infrastructure.

  • Excellent communication, leadership and vendor management skills.

  • Known for responsiveness, reliability, and strong follow-through: keeps commitments, communicates promptly, and consistently closes the loop with cross-functional partners.
