You’ve got a track record of creating intuitive e-commerce experiences. Your resume demonstrates a real talent for crafting wireframes, annotations, and prototypes. If that sounds like you, then you might have what it takes to be our new UX/UI Designer.

You’ll love working here…

We know you’ll thrive in our supportive work environment. AlgaeCal isn’t one of those companies that treats you like a brainless robot, slowly crushing your soul with 80-hour workweeks and pointless projects that never see the light of day. That’s not our style. So if you want to play in the major leagues – but without the stresses of Madison Avenue – this is the perfect job for you.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a UX/UI role, designing and prototyping for web applications or websites, and a strong portfolio that showcases your understanding of digital user experience and design. (Please include your portfolio with your application.)
  • A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Web Design, UI/UX Design, or a related field.
  • Solid proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Sketch, with up-to-date prototyping skills (especially in Figma).
  • Basic knowledge of front-end principles (HTML, CSS) and light experience with front-end languages/frameworks (JS, Jquery, Vue, React).
  • Experience with page builder platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify) and component workshop tools (Storybook, Patternlab).
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and using user testing platforms (like UserTesting.com) and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Microsoft Clarity).
  • A solid understanding of UI, typography, and visual design fundamentals, with some experience in creating wireframes, layouts, and simple prototyping for desktop and mobile.
  • A friendly and collaborative approach to working with stakeholders in the ideation process, along with a basic understanding of marketing/advertising techniques.

What Will You Earn?

Our UXUI Designer position starts at $55,000 and can go up to $70,000 depending on your experience. If you’re a rockstar with more to offer, we’re open to discussing compensation that fits your unique skill set.
