About the role

We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer (12 months) to join our growing team!
As a UX/UI Designer (12 months), you play a mission-critical role in conceiving and evolving our digital ecosystem. You’ll be part of the Broker Marketing & Communications team, that is responsible for digital touchpoints with our distribution network.
Workplace: Montreal (2020 Robert-Bourassa Blvd), St-Hyacinthe (2450 Girouard St W) Toronto (700 University Ave) or Calgary (6 Avenue SW).
What you’ll do here:
- Leverage insights and data to craft human-centered digital experiences that are clear, highly usable, visually appealing, and help achieve business objectives.
- Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development alongside the product and multidisciplinary team.
- Interpret Design System libraries and advocate for improvements alongside the design community.
- Create final assets and work with developers to implement and validate specifications.
- Develop templates for email marketing campaigns.
- Give and solicit feedback to continually improve quality.
- Advocate for user-centered, data-driven design practices.
- Translate user needs and business requirements into engaging digital features and functionality.
- Optimize feature performance through research, analytics, and design.
What you bring to the table:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a UX/UI designer.
- Ability to understand business needs and translate them into design requirements.
- Experience delivering end-to-end (from brief to launch) digital solutions within a cross-functional team environment, using an iterative approach, that leverages quantitative and qualitative measurement.
- Ability to contribute to multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Expertise in usability and user-centered design practices, with visual design experience. You appreciate and understand how typography, color, layout can impact product function.
- Mastery of design tools (Figma, Miro, Illustrator, etc.). Experience with UX research tools an asset (usertesting.com, Optimal Workshop, etc.).
- Experience in producing process flows, content inventories, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interface design files.
- Strong communication skills and ability to recommend creative approaches.
- Collaborative team player who values teamwork, innovation, and constructive feedback.
- Creative, analytical, curious, and passionate about design and quality.
- Organized, autonomous and proactive.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS/PHP/JavaScript is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is an asset.
- Skills in other areas of design (print, video) are an asset.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
