We are seeking a talented and experienced User Researcher responsible for conducting research and analysis to understand user behavior, preferences, and needs. Your insights will play an important role in shaping the development of our products and services, ensuring an exceptional user experience, and driving data-driven decisions with innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, a strong grasp of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and effective English communication.  

This is a full-time contract position. The contractor will be expected to work during Study.com's Pacific Time business hours Monday - Friday. Additionally, they will need to use their own computer and have reliable access to high-speed internet. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Support the lead user researcher on executing research studies, using a variety of methods including surveys, interviews, usability testing, and analytics 
  • Own research responsibilities on specific initiatives and support research projects from beginning to end (Defining study goals, constructing a research plan, recruiting, gathering data, synthesizing learnings, and reporting insights)  
  • Support research operations by managing recruitment, scheduling, and facilitating payment. Moderate 1:1 interviews with participants, ensuring a comfortable and engaging environment  
  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research, analyze data, and present clear and actionable findings to key stakeholders.  
  • Maintain user research protocols, tools, and resources to streamline the research process and ensure consistency across studies. 
  • Drive impact by synthesizing research findings into practical insights and recommendations to help key design and product stakeholders make decisions. 

What You Bring to the Role: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in user research, usability testing, and user-centered design methodologies. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the skills to translate data into actionable insights. 
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring deliverables are accurate, clear, and actionable 
  • Proficiency in conducting user research using various methods, such as in-depth interviews, surveys, and usability testing. 
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques and tools. 
  • Experience with remote testing/survey tools (e.g. UserZoom, UserTesting, Qualtrics, Survey Monkey)  
  • Understanding of key US segments, including K-12 education, online higher education, and professional licensing or a demonstrated ability to independently learn and adapt to these domains 
  • Familiarity with UX design principles and practices is a plus. 

The salary is dependent upon factors including skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
