WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

We are looking for UI Engineer to join our team at Next Level Games that can empower artists and designers and help craft interfaces and experiences that are enjoyable and accessible for every type of player. The right candidate will be someone who can help us turn artistic vision into reality!
In this role, you will work alongside the rest of the multidisciplinary UI team to create both custom UI features and a first-class user experience.   

 

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Worked on at least one shipped AAA console/PC game.  
  • Professional level C++ skills.  
  • Competent in testing, debugging, and extending other Software Engineers’ code. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Comfortable working with both traditional 2D UI as well as 3D and in-world UI. 
  • Solid understanding of what makes a good user experience. 
  • Self-starter/motivated and ability to work independently. 
  • Works well within a team environment and enjoys collaborating with others, particularly across a wide variety of disciplines. 
  • Ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines.  
  • Experience in both the Production and the Finaling stages of development as a UI Engineer.    
  • Experience with Python and/or C#, and a passion for user experience design is a bonus!

This is a hybrid position, requiring at least three days per week at our Vancouver studio.  

The hiring range for this position is $66,000 to $105,000 CAD annually and is subject to change. The final base salary compensation will be based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. This position is also eligible for the benefits including discretionary performance bonus program, health benefits, and generous time-off.
