WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: 

We are looking for an experienced, driven and highly skilled UI Artist to join our team and help us craft fun and accessible experiences for all players and turn artistic visions into reality! You’ll be responsible for: 

  • Creating high-quality visually appealing assets 
  • Iterating with other artists to bring the visuals to life with stunning animations and effects 
  • Collaborating with game designers and engineers to design accessible interfaces that meet the needs of the game 
  • Build components/screens in the UI editor and create animation states needed for engineers to implement the UI in game 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as an UI Artist for video/mobile games 
  • Experienced with creating assets in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop 
  • Experienced with animating in After Effects or an equivalent program 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of designing functional wireframes and prototypes that adhere to global art direction 
  • Clearly communicate and collaborate with engineers to implement designs in-engine 
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams 
  • Comfortable providing and receiving constructive feedback and working as part of a team 
  • Self-starter. Motivated and capable of working independently 

YOU SET YOURSELF ABOVE WITH: 

  • Experience working on at least on shipped AAA console/PC game 
  • Experience designing accessible UI 
  • Experience with Figma and/or Protopie 
  • Experience with Blender or Maya

Please note this is a hybrid position, requiring at least three days per week at our Vancouver studio. 
The hiring range for this position is $67,000 - $90,000 CAD annually and is subject to change. The final base salary compensation will be based on factors such as skills, education, and experience.
