THE DEPARTMENT

The mission of the Operations Department is to strategically develop and scale each business area with world-class infrastructure, enhancing existing functions and introducing new capabilities through a methodical yet entrepreneurial approach.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is experiencing exponential growth, and the Operations team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for the strategic development and scaling of our business through world-class solutions. As a Sr. Analyst / Analyst, Operations, you will focus on enhancing existing functions and introducing new capabilities by defining operating models, designing & building business processes, and developing the frameworks & tools that drive scalability. With a methodical & entrepreneurial approach, you will play a key role in delivering transformational solutions that enable the business to operate effectively. THE JOB

As the Sr. Analyst/Analyst, Operations, you will:

  • Define and implement the core operating structure and working model of the business area collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
  • Design how we approach business decisions and create the infrastructure required to support ongoing usage (E.g. Frameworks, Guides, Models & Tools)
  • Engineer effective and efficient processes, optimizing for throughput and frictionless operations
  • Introduce or expand world-class capabilities that drive our business
  • Scale the business for future growth, often meaningfully evolving our infrastructure across key pillars
  • Seamlessly integrate meaningful infrastructure into the day-to-day of the business

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Sr. Analyst/Analyst, Operations has:

  • Proven skills, education, and/or experience in:
    • Business administration or related field
    • Business operations, process improvement, organizational design
  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values, Business and People Leadership principles
  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners.
  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a member of the Operations team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of high priority projects, and also see the results of their implementation and impact. You will:

Answer important business questions, such as: 

  • What investments in People, Process and Technology should we prioritize to prepare for scale? 
  • What industry best practices should we consider when building a new department or function? 
  • How can we optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of our existing processes?

Build important infrastructure, such as: 

  • The operating model of a department including structure, capabilities, and responsibilities
  • The documentation of a step-by-step process in a simple and complete manner with clear accountability
  • The frameworks, tools, and templates used to execute processes efficiently

Collaborate to drive optimal results:  

  • Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities and create roadmaps 
  • Learn about the intricacies of different business departments and how they can operate optimally 
  • Facilitate workshops with team members and leaders across the business

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $50,000 - $100,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
