Job Description

Shift: 1st shift

Days of Work: Monday – Friday

Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00 pm

Work Location: On-site (Lexington, TN)

Starting Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 annually

Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Position Objective:

Design, coordinate, deliver and evaluate training initiatives which align with organizational goals and objectives.  Collaborate throughout the organization to assess deficiencies then identify the appropriate curriculum to address needs.  Create learning guides and aids which enhance training content effective for all variety of learners. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create curriculum, guides, aids, manuals, materials and/or exercises which meet the objective and deliver the desired outcome.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs with team leaders and supervisors.
  • Assist with delivering and/or coordinating IPC J-STD training and supporting the welding department training requirements.
  • Assist in new hire orientation.
  • Develop on-the-job training checklists and training content.
  • Proactive engagement with organization to identify training needs and recommend training resources.
  • In conjunction with the Quality Department, develop, coordinate and/or deliver quality procedures training requirements for all areas of the manufacturing floor and offices as appropriate.
  • Assist with development, coordination and delivery of Lean Manufacturing Principles training.
  • Measure and communicate the impact of training through the key performance indicators and operating metrics.
  • Track and report training cost and hours.
  • Maintain training materials; provide input for standardized work instructions.
  • Assist in maintaining training records.
  • Ensure facility compliance with ISO 9001 training requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects as well as the development and delivery of relevant material needed to support those projects.
  • Provide feedback to the management and manufacturing leaders regarding barriers or issues related to training program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills:

  • 2+ years experience in instructional design and delivery for manufacturing environment and adult learners.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as IPC J-STD and ISO 9001.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and administration of learning management systems (LMS).
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, organization skills. 
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Adult Education, Training, Human Resources, or related field.
