As a Territory Manager at Arc’teryx, you will lead the work to bring Arc’teryx to life in Specialty Retail in British Columbia while supporting efforts to build our community in our Brand Stores and National Accounts. When successful, the Arc’teryx Guest will experience a seamless brand experience across your territory. While an uncompromised brand presence is the #1 goal, it will be intensely satisfying to watch our sales grow with our brand strength. In this role, you will scout out and work with the best Outdoor, Climb, and Ski retailers in your territory to bring our vision to life while supporting their success in sell through and community building.

This role can be hired remote. Business operations occur on PST time zone.

The North American Commercial team is accountable for delivering sales through all local channels. We meet the guest where they are shopping, and ensure Arc’teryx is represented in an authentic, consistent way. As the retail landscape changes, we will work together to evolve our approach with creativity and teamwork.

If you were the Territory Manager, British Columbia now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Translating the seasonal strategy to a sell-in and marketing plans to secure pre-orders and a commitment from our specialty base to bring future seasons to life on the retail floor with accompanying sell-through plans
  • Training retail staff on our brand promise, seasonal vision, and product specifics so they can spread the Arc’teryx stoke and drive full price sell through with delighted guests
  • Connecting members of the Arc’teryx community – Brand Stores, Ambassadors, Regional Staff - in your territory through events and activations that build brand awareness and excitement
  • Managing your orderbook to ensure best possible fulfillment, satisfied partners, and in-season sales opportunities
  • Using experience and data to strengthen forecasts, planning, and product feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Traveling your territory to sell, stoke, and educate on the Arc’teryx brand and its offering (30 – 40% travel commitment)
  • Supporting the training, coaching, onboarding, and regular communication of business process as it relates to our ERP system, SAP
  • Managing the wholesale showroom at Arc’teryx HQ in North Vancouver

  • Prototyping new retail formats in partnership with our specialty retailers that elevate the brand experience, build awareness, and increase sales
  • Working closely with the Community Marketing team to identify new guests to bring to the brand
  • Informing and helping build new commercial strategies to evolve in the spirit of Arc’teryx values

Are you our next Territory Manager, British Columbia?

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field
  • You have 5+years of sales experience in outdoor sales or related industry; ideally selling apparel and footwear
  • You have a strong ability to build relationships, sell, influence, and negotiate
  • You have strong presentation and communication skills
  • You have excellent organizational skills, analytical ability, and a track record of strategic planning
  • You are optimistic about the future and what can be achieved, and listen to others’ needs 
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office
  • You have the ability to work well independently and in a team
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with unwavering commitment
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
