As part of our continued global expansion, we are seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist with strong expertise in cell and molecular biology to join our team. This role will support our growing business and offers a scientifically challenging and rewarding environment with opportunities for accelerated career development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert scientific and technical support to customers primarily for cell culture products and applications, with additional support across abm’s broader life science reagent and service portfolio as needed
  • Troubleshoot and analyze complex or non-standard customer technical issues, and propose practical, customer-focused solutions while clearly documenting findings and resolutions
  • Provide technical expertise to support the preparation of quotations for customized products and service projects
  • Collect and share customer technical feedback, product insights, and market intelligence with Business Development and Marketing teams to support improved market and customer understanding
  • Collaborate closely with production, R&D, customer service, and commercial teams to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction and product performance
  • Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell relevant products and services based on customer needs and product knowledge

Qualifications

  • PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline, with 3–5 years of postdoctoral experience or a minimum of 3 years of industry (biotech) experience
  • PhD candidates with strong publication record are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experience with stem cell or iPSC-related work is a significant plus
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Compensation

  • Salary CAD $70,000 – $100,000 base, commensurate with education, publication record, postdoctoral experience, and industry exposure.
  • Performance-based bonus
