Position Description
As a Technical Program Manager at PAR, you play a critical role in enabling the delivery of world-class products and services. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, bringing complex programs to life by balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
This role has a strong focus on release programs, spanning program development, delivery, and ongoing support. You will lead large, cross-functional initiatives, manage dependencies, and ensure alignment across teams to drive successful outcomes. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented self-starter with proven experience in technical program management and/or release management, and the ability to influence without authority.

What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in program management, project management, or release management within a software development environment
Proven experience managing complex programs involving multiple cross-functional teams
Superior organizational skills with a strong focus on quality and execution rigor
Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills; able to bring together diverse personalities and functions
Comfort working with AI tools and adapting to change in evolving environments
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document, present, and explain complex technical topics clearly to varied audiences
Experience creating executive-ready presentations and presenting to senior leaders
Strong listening skills and comfort asking thoughtful, clarifying questions
Passion for working with technical teams and environments
Strong leadership and influence skills without formal authority; a true servant leader
Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and conflict management skills
Experience working in agile development environments
High degree of ownership, independence, and adaptability in fast-paced settings

Translate complex dependencies into adaptive resourcing and prioritization as plans evolve
Convert business needs into actionable implementation plans, including prioritization, scheduling, and resource planning
Develop and validate value drivers and business cases for major programs and track progress against outcomes
Own release-level prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria
Identify and manage external dependencies, risks, and logistics throughout program execution
Host and facilitate executive-level forums and large cross-functional program meetings
Distill complex program status, risks, and mitigation plans into clear, executive-ready updates
Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across engineering, product, and business teams
Apply conflict resolution, cross-team collaboration, and precise communication to drive alignment and results
