The Technical Artist will optimize art workflows, collaborate with teams, and develop tools for art production in gaming.

We are seeking a Technical Artist Contractor for our upcoming new game based on a major IP! This person will collaborate with our art and engineering teams, developing and optimizing art workflows, tools, and rendering techniques to bring our characters and gameplay to life within immersive virtual worlds. This will be initially for a 4 month contract at approximately 30 hours per week with possibility of extension.
During the contract, we expect you to be responsible for:
- Work with the Team to Create and Improve Art Production Workflows, Tools, Pipelines, and Asset Optimization/Integration.
- Collaborate with artists to understand their needs and challenges in art production.
- Work with project managers and engineers to implement efficient art workflows and pipelines.
- Optimize and integrate assets for optimal performance and game engine compatibility.
- Develop Pipelines and Tools for the Team to automate tasks and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate tools into the existing production pipeline.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance existing tools and pipelines based on user feedback.
- Contribute to Render and Shading Techniques and Processes, including shader and material development.
- Research and Prototype Cutting-Edge Tools and Rendering Techniques.
- Find Creative Solutions to Realize Artistic Vision within technical constraints
Your background:
- Game industry experience, specifically in a technical artist role
- 2+ years of development experience in Unity and experience in Unity Scriptpin (C#)
- Comfortable with troubleshooting artist technical problems, knowledge of art optimization techniques
