About the Role

As a valued member of the Technical Services team, you will be part of a fast-paced, rapidly growing department that will serve as the backbone of the Professional Services organization within TECSYS. In this role, you will participate throughout the application life cycle to support our customer’s projects.  Working closely with the other members of the technical and professional services teams, you will have the opportunity to travel to many different locations across North America and potentially Europe.  You’ll build rapport with customers, guiding them in their integration of the Tecsys software and assisting with activities such as data cleansing and conversions, forms, labels and report development, technical training and support. Thanks to your consulting acumen, strong technical and people skills, your application knowledge and supply chain expertise you will be a key contributor to a successful implementation process.


Qualifications

      • University, Cegep/College or technical degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Commerce with focus on Business Technology Management or related field. 
      • 0-5 years’ experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing, technical consulting environment such as technical support or related area. New grads welcome!
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that are technical in nature and provide resolutions. 
      • Technical aptitude including knowledge of Java, advanced SQL, Oracle & SQL databases, Unix/Linux
      • Strong interpersonal skills; fluent in English, spoken and written; able to communicate clearly and concisely to external stakeholders
      • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting aptitude and the ability to work independently 
      • Flexibility and self-learning ability, as well as the ability to teach others
      • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrix team environment
      • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
      • Valid Canadian or US passport (due to travel)
      • There may be occasional overtime required during project-related critical point.

What would give you an edge?

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables in Excel 
  • Knowledge and troubleshooting experience with Java using tools such as Eclipse & Git 
  • Knowledge of Jasper iReports, Loftware or Cognos 
  • Bi Analytics aptitude and knowledge of creating reports and dashboards
  • Conceptual knowledge of supply chain management, distribution or warehouse management 
  • Accounting & Financial knowledge including General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, Accounts Payable & Receivable and Order and Inventory Management
