In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative tax team where ideas and knowledge are shared openly. You’ll engage with internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities, with confidence and professionalism. While you’ll receive the training and guidance needed to succeed, you’ll also have the independence to manage your responsibilities and ask the right questions when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file indirect tax returns (e.g., U.S. Sales and Use Tax, Canadian GST/QST/HST).
- Prepare and file direct tax returns (e.g., property tax, gross receipts tax).
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data for corporate income tax reporting.
- Research and interpret indirect tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to support audits and compliance.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.
- Contribute to tax planning strategies to minimize indirect tax liabilities.
- Supports the tax team with various projects and initiatives.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in tax compliance or accounting.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French (spoken and written).
Soft Skills:
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, dependable, and self-motivated.
- Effective in both independent and team settings.
