We are seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to ensure excellence in every aspect of our complex infrastructure projects and specifically in utilities (Electric Transmission & Distribution). In this role, you will lead supply chain quality assurance and control processes, guaranteeing compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements for materials and equipment used in our projects. Your expertise will help us deliver projects that meet the highest standards of safety, durability, and performance.
We offer a flexible hybrid work model, enabling you to work from home AND our Vancouver office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage supply chain quality assurance by overseeing supplier quality management processes, conducting quality reviews, and ensuring compliance throughout manufacturing operations
- Coordinate materials and equipment quality assurance for projects by managing supplier relationships, collaborating on procurement activities, and performing supplier factory, process and system audits
- Lead global manufacturing oversight by monitoring activities, reviewing and approving supplier quality plans and documentation, and ensure alignment with organizational requirements
- Drive quality control and improvement by conducting inspections, tracking and resolving non-conformances, and implementing corrective actions to maintain operational excellence
- Plan and optimize team operations by developing schedules, allocating resources effectively, and leading initiatives to improve efficiency and quality across projects
- Degree or diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Civil/Structural/Mechanical) or any other relevant field
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification or Certified Quality auditor (CQA) certification
- Certified Quality Manager (CQM) certification, an asset
- Lean six Sigma Certification, an asset
- Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in supplier or manufacturing quality management in utility sectors, preferably for Electric Transmission and Distribution projects
- Demonstrated experience managing quality inspections and audits (example: Quality Inspector, Auditor)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, standards, and QA/QC processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) to support documentation, analysis, and communication
- Detailed oriented and strong ability working with engineering documentation
- Excellent communication skills in English in order to build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders and clients
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Availability to work on-site few days per month
The expected salary for this position is from $80,000 to $110,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
