Job Summary:
Central 1 is hiring a Fraud Data Analyst Intern for a 4-month summer term from May to August 2025. This role is ideal for a student eager to apply technical skills in data analysis, coding, and visualization to support fraud detection and prevention efforts.
What you’ll be doing:
Data Analysis & Pattern Detection
- Use SQL and Python to analyze data and detect emerging fraud patterns.
- Translate insights into actionable rules and policies in fraud tools
Reporting & Visualization
- Develop and update reports for fraud and AML analytics.
- Create visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
- Support benchmarking initiatives for credit unions and industry groups.
Fraud Strategy Development
- Analyze data to identify trends and implement new fraud prevention strategies.
What you’ll have:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify trends and communicate findings effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools
- Proficiency with SQL and Python
- Interest in financial services, payments, and emerging fintech solutions
