About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and results-oriented Strategy & Operations Manager to be the operational force multiplier for the Business Systems and IT team. Own the PM Practice: Design, implement, and enforce a scalable project management framework (e.g., intake, prioritization, delivery, and reporting) for large IT and Business Systems initiatives.
Project Leadership: Directly manage and drive a portfolio of the most critical, cross-functional programs (e.g., major system integrations, new regulatory compliance projects) from scoping through hypercare.
Governance & Standardization: Champion the use of standard documentation to ensure consistent quality and minimize technical debt across project deliveries.
Resource Alignment: Partner with the IT/BS Leads to forecast and track team capacity, ensuring resources are optimally aligned with the highest-priority business goals.
2. Software Portfolio & Financial Governance
Vendor & Renewal Management: Own the end-to-end process for IT and Business Systems software license renewals. Proactively track contract end dates, usage data, and renewal costs to ensure best-in-class terms.
Spend Optimization: Conduct regular audits of software usage and licenses to identify and reclaim unused seats, driving significant cost savings and ensuring compliance.
Budget Support: Assist leadership with budget planning, expense tracking, and vendor negotiation strategy to maximize the return on all software investments.
3. Operational Strategy & Leverage
Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to streamline and automate the team’s internal workflows (e.g., project intake, support hand-offs, environment management) to maximize time spent on strategic development.
Run vs. Change Auditing: Implement reporting mechanisms to measure the team's balance between reactive support ("Run the Business") and strategic development ("Change the Business") and recommend strategies to increase operational leverage.
Communication: Own key communication channels, providing clear, concise, and timely updates on project status, risks, and resource utilization to leadership and key stakeholders.
Experience: 5+ years of total experience in a technology environment, with 3+ years dedicated to managing IT projects, programs, or business operations, preferably within a high-growth tech company.
PM Expertise: Proven track record of managing and delivering complex, cross-functional projects. PMP or similar certification is a strong plus.
Financial Acumen: Direct experience with software asset management (SAM), vendor negotiation, and managing technology budgets and renewals.
Process Modeling: Strong functional knowledge of process documentation and optimization methodologies (e.g., BPMN, RACI).
Communication: Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive decisions among both technical and non-technical leaders.
Nice to Have
Systems Familiarity: Working knowledge of core enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, ERP systems, iPaaS solutions like Workato).
