From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.
Meet Our Team: Software engineering teams in WBD's Direct-to-consumer (DTC) division build and deliver applications and services powering the customer experience of products such as MAX, which run on connected TVs, set-top boxes, smartphones, tablets, consoles, PCs, and other streaming devices.
Operational Engineering (Openg) teams play a critical role in ensuring these streaming products and services run smoothly and efficiently at scale. Our specialized teams focus on areas such as Infrastructure and Cluster Management, Release and Development Processes, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Operational Excellence, and Observability.
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Scope & Complexity: You drive projects and products across more than one team, you have experience managing dependencies and stakeholders from external teams. You're able to take an ambiguous problem statement related to your subject-matter area to drive deliverables over multiple iterations to achieve the right outcome.

  • Decision Making: Your decisions are right, far more often than not.

  • Agile Execution: You get a lot done and you make others around you more productive. You have a companywide view of how your programs or projects impact the bottom line and you constantly think about how to improve our ability to deliver large projects.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, team members, and external partners. Act as a trusted advisor to the engineering team and provide guidance on operational matters.

  • Communication: Your written and verbal communication skills are exemplary, concise and tailored to the audience's expectations, making you the initial point of contact for business and technical stakeholders. You are the point of contact for data related to your product, services, and features.

Required Experiences and Skills:

  • 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience.

  • Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.

  • Able to project org-wide influence without authority to instill a culture of ownership, rigor, and accountability.

  • Proactively identify and manage potential risks that could impact timelines, quality, or success. Facilitate the development of contingency plans to mitigate risks and keep launches on track.

  • Highly adaptable to changing business needs and able to drive change across multiple disciplines within the engineering and operations world.
