We’re looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Burnaby, Canada. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Software Development Engineering, you will be responsible for:
- Fixing customer and cloud reliability issues and delivering reliability features for critical customers
- Developing solutions and observability tools focusing on early detection and prevention of cloud and customer issues
- Designing and driving solutions that provide reliable cloud security for customers
- Building automation for troubleshooting and monitoring purposes
What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 5+ years of experience in software development and/or sustenance engineering
- Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and Linux
- Hands-on experience with network security products and technologies like firewalls, VPNs, and data protection
- Strong interest in troubleshooting and problem solving for customer issues and good knowledge with public cloud and/or kubernetes technologies is a plus
- Experience in developing cloud and customer reliability tools
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field of Engineering
- Experience with cloud reliability engineering in comparable technology environments
- Proven success in delivering products as cloud-based services
