Copper is the client and project management platform purpose-built for professional services businesses. Think marketing and creative agencies, consultancies, media firms, and other project-based teams that run on relationships, not transactions.

These businesses don’t follow simple, linear sales cycles. Their work is complex, collaborative, and ongoing. They’re constantly moving between pitching new clients, managing active engagements, and delivering on tight timelines. Yet most CRMs ignore this reality - forcing sales and delivery teams into siloed tools that don’t talk to each other.

That’s the gap we’re closing. Copper helps service-based teams manage the entire customer journey in one beautifully designed, Google Workspace-native platform - from first email to final deliverable. With a shared view of contacts, deals, tasks, and projects, our customers eliminate duplicate work, reduce handoff issues, and create consistently excellent client experiences.

Thousands of professional services firms trust Copper to keep their client work on track and we’re just getting started. Backed by $100 million in funding and growing fast, we’re building the modern operating system for relationship-led businesses.

Copper is looking for a positive, customer-oriented Staff Product Designer to join one of the product development teams. You will play a key role in shaping the next-generation AI CRM for professional services by helping teams save time, strengthen client relationships, and scale their businesses through smarter automation all while collaborating with a product-led, growth-minded team dedicated to innovation that feels natural and human.

We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to help guide and influence the evolution of Copper’s product experience as we make the leap into a new era of AI CRM. This role is about collaborating across product, engineering, and leadership to shape a design vision that empowers our customers to work smarter, faster, and with less friction — without taking over their workflows.

What you’ll do…

  • Help shape the design vision for Copper’s transition into an AI-first CRM for professional services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform the design direction of new AI-powered features, such as automated data capture, intelligent task suggestions, and predictive pipeline management.
  • Contribute to end-to-end product experiences, helping translate complex workflows into simple, elegant interactions.
  • Mentor and inspire the design team, raising the bar for design quality and thinking, without taking a top-down approach.
  • Partner with product leadership to ensure the design perspective informs strategy and roadmap decisions.
  • Evolve our design system to support AI-driven user interfaces and scalable design practices.

What you’ll bring…

  • 8+ years of experience in product design, with exposure to B2B SaaS and/or productivity tools for professional services.
  • A track record of influencing and guiding the creation of AI-enabled or automation-driven experiences.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating simplification of complex workflows into intuitive design solutions.
  • Collaborative, facilitative style — comfortable influencing executives and teams without heavy-handed ownership.
  • Empathy for the challenges of professional service businesses and how they manage client relationships.

Why work here?

  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive benefits and time-off/leave policies
  • Unlimited vacation
  • Flexible fully remote work hours
  • Generous stock options
  • Maternity/paternity top-up
  • Monthly internet and cell phone allowance
  • Learning & Development program

The compensation range for this role is between $165,000 - $195,000 CAD depending on your experience, skills and qualifications.  At Copper, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices that align with market standards.

Our teams are distributed across the UK, Canada and in the United States. We are remote first, and we are an equal-opportunity employer.

At Copper we are committed to building and empowering a diverse and inclusive environment.  We recognize that diverse teams are strong teams, so we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.

If this opportunity sounds interesting, apply today!  We would like to hear from you.
