About the Role

​​As a Staff Product Designer on the Growth Team, you will focus on attracting and engaging customers to discover all that GlossGenius offers. You’ll own the strategy and execution of growth opportunities together with your Product and Engineering counterparts—from activation and retention to monetization. You’ll spearhead 0-to-1 product innovation, paving the way for new growth initiatives that will shape the next chapter of our business. Our ideal candidate will be able to craft a diverse set of creative solutions to complex product design problems by working with our product team and leadership on the Growth area. 

You can be based remotely in the greater San Francisco, Seattle, or Miami area, OR hybrid (Tuesdays & Thursdays in-office) from our NYC headquarters. 

What You’ll Do

  • Work on the user experience across Growth features within GlossGenius
  • Own the end-to-end process for solving UX/UI design problems: ideate, conceptualize, test, and refine
  • Construct user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts
  • Lead user interviews to better understand customer needs to help inform the product design strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of product managers, software engineers, product analysts, customer success managers, and marketers to design intuitive and engaging user experiences for GlossGenius' customers
  • Deliver products that are recognized as the best in the industry by understanding GlossGenius’s strategic and competitive position
  • Take initiative in thinking of new ways our users can interact with GlossGenius

What We’re Looking For 

  • 7+ years of experience in a Product Design / UX / UI or related role; at least 3  years of experience focused on Growth initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience with sketching, wireframes, visual design, and prototyping for product experiences
  • Experience with advanced prototyping tools (e.g. Principle, Framer, Sketch, Figma, InVision)
  • Passion for empowering small business owners to be successful; possess a high level of empathy our customers and a strong desire to deeply understand their needs
  • Experience navigating ambiguous high-growth, fast-paced product-driven environments

The starting base salary for this role in New York and California is between $210,000-$250,000 + target equity + benefits. The base salary offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, location, and education. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
