The Staff Product Designer will craft user experiences for AI-based products, ensuring high-quality execution and collaborating across teams to define future AI UX.
The summary above was generated by AI

As a member of the Design team, you'll play a critical role in shaping the experience business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs will have when using Durable. You'll craft beautiful experiences that intelligently and intuitively blend agentic workflows and "traditional" ui.

We're looking for designers who want to push technology while deeply empathizing with real customer problems. You'll work across all teams at Durable to define and deliver what the future of AI UX looks like. You'll be responsible for execution, holding everyone to a high standard of quality.

This is not a role where you'll spend your day in Figma. You'll be prototyping directly with the latest models, experimenting, learning their capabilities, and uncovering powerful opportunities to push innovative UX to our customers.

What we're looking for:
  • 6+ years of product design experience on shipped B2C products, with a portfolio you can speak to in depth
  • Comfortable producing in code or with AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent)
  • Fluent with the current generation of AI creative tooling (image gen, video gen, voice) and opinionated about where they're useful
  • Experience designing AI or generative experiences: prompt interfaces, automated output, multi-modal interactions
  • Systems thinking: design patterns and component libraries that scaled beyond the features you built them for
  • Bonus: you have an eye for exceptional brand design and motion and want to help us push the Durable brand further (in product and across marketing)
  • Bonus: startup experience or having launched something of your own
Fine print

This role is based in Vancouver. We currently work in-office two days per week on Mondays & Thursdays.
Compensation is $190,000–$240,000 CAD base plus equity, for Vancouver-based candidates, depending on seniority. Actual salary takes experience, location, and other factors into account.
