We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Engineering team! You are experienced and passionate about building products and systems that make a meaningful impact on the lives of thousands of people and their health. What You’ll Do

  • Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures
  • Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing systems.
  • Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes.
  • Liaising with colleagues to implement technical designs
  • Investigating and using new technologies where relevant
  • Providing written knowledge transfer material

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years solving technical challenges with your strong command of back-end tech stack (primarily Python, GraphQL and frameworks like Flask and/or FastAPI
  • We also consider experience in other tech stacks (like Ruby, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS) and frameworks (like Django) 
  • Strong experience and knowledge of different types of databases (like SQL and/or NoSQL - primarily Postgres and/or DynamoDB)
  • 3+ years experience in different CI/CD pipelines (like GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI, Jenkins or TravisCI) we also consider as a bonus as well as cloud experience (like AWS, GCP and/or Azure)
  • Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability to help elevate the team are always welcome
  • Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase

Nice to Have’s 

  • Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Typescript, Node.js, Angular, Vue.js, and Redux
  • Experience in Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (PACS,OHIF, DICOM, FDA, ISO 14971, ISO 13485, Electronic Medical Record, Healthlake Imaging, Medical Imaging)

  • The base salary offered for this position ranges from: $180,000-$195,000 yearly in local currency depending on experience
