Staff Digital Design Engineer
Alphawave is developing advanced optical silicon with a growing engineering team. We are looking for a Staff Digital Design Engineer to join our Connectivity Products Group as a strong technical contributor and key member of the design team.
What you'll do:
- Design and develop industry leading connectivity SOCs using the latest high-speed IP
- Be an expert in Alphawave SerDes and DSP cores, building unique solutions as a digital designer
- Work with the architecture and marketing teams to develop implementation specifications
- Support pre-silicon design verification and create reference documents
- Support post-silicon validation and lab activities
- Mentor the junior members of the team
What You'll Need:
- BSc. or MSc. in Electrical/Computer engineering or a related field
- Expertise in hardware description languages such as Verilog and SystemVerilog
- >7 years of experience with RTL and strong digital design skills
- Experience with silicon tapeouts and/or FPGA design implementation
- Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools and methodologies used for digital design
Nice to have skills:
- Experience with power correlation between pre-silicon estimates and silicon measurements
- Experience with SerDes
- Familiarity with Ethernet and/or PCIe protocols
- Familiarity with the CMIS standard
- Familiarity with software version control such as SVN or Git
- Knowledge of peripherals/protocols such as I2C, I3C, SPI, APB, etc.
- Knowledge of PCB schematic design and PCB layout
