About the Role
Evisort (now part of Workday) is seeking a Software Engineer to join one of our cross-functional, dynamic, diverse, and fun engineering squads on a mission to build the best-in-class, next-generation, AI/ML-powered, legal contract intelligence platform. This role has high visibility and high impact, and ideal candidates are used to collaborating across teams, including but not limited to development, product, design, and customer success.
What you'll do:
- Design, implement and deploy secure, scalable, and robust APIs for large scale features
- Optimize cloud applications performance and build event-driven microservices
- Leverage AWS technologies, especially serverless tools to scale our platform for millions (and soon billions) of contracts.
- Seamlessly incorporate the results of our data scientists' research into our web applications and services
- Write high-quality, easy-to-maintain-and-extend code with plenty of tests and built-in observability
- Work as part of an Agile team in a collaborative environment where you regularly plan, and implement tasks to scale and expand our rapidly growing enterprise-grade SaaS product
- Have a major impact on the professional growth and productivity levels of your teammates through design and code reviews, technical guidance, and mentoring

Software Development Engineer
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years in software development with a consistent record of ownership and delivery
- 3+ years programming in Python and 3+ years with a Python web development framework (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
- 3+ years with PostgreSQL DB, and a strong understanding of performance optimization and scaling strategies
- 3+ years working with modern software engineering best practices and agile development processes
Other Qualifications
- Excellent problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with message-based inter-process communications (SQS, Kafka, or Redis Streams)
- Strong understanding AWS or similar cloud computing platforms
- Strong understanding of Docker and experience with Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems
Sr Software Development Engineer

Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
