We are seeking a Sales Executive to join our Canada Segment - North America. This individual will leverage their expert consultative sales approach and honed professional demeanor to effectively manage complex relationships, while capitalizing on opportunities within the segment. 
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Sales Executive responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting in order to identify new firms interested in Thomson Reuters on-line products/services

  • Creating and implementing plans for the effective coverage of assigned territory

  • Preparing and tracking the effectiveness of account plans; Forecasting sales

  • Generating sales growth by pursuing new prospects, following up on leads from a variety of sources

  • Building relationships with existing customers in support of customer retention strategies

  • Providing client/prospect data for the CRM system

  • Reporting weekly/monthly on all sales activity, market trends, competitor information, etc.

About You
You may be a fit for the Sales Executive role if you have/are:

  • A university degree (business or professional) or equivalent business experience

  • Ability to develop new customer accounts requiring heavy prospecting, cold calling, closing ability

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Analytical and problem solving abilities

  • Strong organization and time management skills

  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite, utilizing a CRM (such as Salesforce preferred) and overall technical aptitude

  • Knowledge of the legal framework within Canada will be considered an asset
