About the team and the role:

eBay Motors is a multi-billion dollar, global portfolio that includes the Vehicles category and the  Vehicle Parts & Accessories category (which is among the largest on eBay and core to eBay’s strategic future). Our Motors Product organization includes product and engineering team members who play a key role in enabling growth for our business, developing and delivering on our product roadmap. 

We are looking to hire a Senior Manager, Product Growth & Operations. This individual will report to the Director, Product Growth & Operations and will help drive critical initiatives that will drive growth for our business and value for our customers. This includes working closely with product management, engineering & design leads, as well as business unit, finance, and marketing partners. This is an individual contributor role expected to drive strategic direction and execution of multiple product initiatives across US, UK, and Germany, in a matrix organization.

The ideal candidate is an independent, strategic, long-range problem solver who can understand the dynamics of two-sided e-commerce marketplaces, collaborates well with cross-functional partners, and possesses executive-ready communication skills.

What you will accomplish:

  • Support short-term and long-term strategic direction and key critical initiatives within our business with a data-driven approach. This may include identification, case development, program management, and delivery of key strategic projects 

  • Work with our Product Managers and other team members (e.g., engineering, business, user research, analytics) to shape our product roadmap and drive business growth

  • Collaborate with key team members and partners across eBay to ensure effective product/business planning and smooth execution 

  • Understand product and business performance and key drivers in buyer and seller funnels, as well as broader market dynamics and competitive landscape - identifying and completing various strategic opportunities

  • Build and own executive-ready presentations on strategy and operational updates

What you will bring:

  • 6+ years of related experience, including 2+ years at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or in a corporate strategy or business operations role at a major technology corporation

  • Product management and/or product strategy experience preferred, but not required

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required, MBA or similar graduate degree preferred

  • Track record of strategic leadership, structured thinking, as well as ability to prioritize against multiple initiatives

  • Ability to combine strategic and big picture thinking with hands-on, results-driven execution

  • Strong cross-functional leader who is also recognized as a collaborator and partner

  • Data-driven approach to planning and decision making. Comfortable and hands-on with data, analytics, and modeling

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$142,400 - $232,300

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
