A Day in the Life of a Senior Manager, Process Management - Third Party Management
In this role, you are the first line of defense to help ensure Capital One remains well-managed and avoids unnecessary risk. You will be responsible for overseeing Third Party Management processes and programs, ensuring their effectiveness is aligned with our strategic objectives. Collaboration with various stakeholders will be essential to ensure that all activities adhere to our Third Party Risk Management policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing and managing third-party relationships. You will engage with supplier managers, suppliers, and key stakeholders to identify potential risks. By applying your skills in process management, risk analysis, and critical thinking, you will contribute to achieving favorable outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Process Owner for Third Party management processes, accountable for supporting team members in enhancing controls, managing risks, and improving effectiveness
  • Oversee the Canada Site Assessment and the Third Party Data Share Program.
  • Ensure comprehensive oversight of all suppliers and services encompassed within our inter/intra-company agreements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders (1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of defense) across organizations to achieve strategic objectives
  • Lead governance activities, including control testing and reporting, for the Third Party Management organization
  • Develop and manage policies, standards, procedures, and processes related to third party management
  • Remain informed about changes in regulations and industry trends that may influence operational practices.
  • Provide leadership and support as required for internal audit reviews, regulatory inquiries, incident management, and remediation activities.
  • Participate in key management forums and contribute to continuous improvement of risk, process and project / program management practices


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 7 years of experience working in process management, risk management or continuous improvement roles
  • At least 7 years experience working in a cross-functional environment, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed effectively.
  • At least 4 years of experience leading a team


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in supplier management, supplier oversight or third party risk management roles
  • Experience using Lean & Six Sigma tools & methodologies
  • Program/Project Management expertise
  • Previous experience in banking/finance or another highly regulated industry
  • Experience in basic coding and/or data visualization (e.g. SQL, Tableau)
