Our Global Strategic Initiatives team, part of the Global Marketing organization, drives and retains assets in key growth areas: ETFs, Alternatives, and Digital Assets. Our ETF Marketers are experts in supporting unique ETF product suites in the U.S., Canada, and EMEA, with a focus on content development and brand building through social media, PR, and advertising. 

We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, and experienced ETF marketer to lead our Canadian ETF efforts. This role has high visibility across the organization and involves close collaboration with Canadian Marketing and the Global ETF Business, including teams dedicated to Distribution, Capital Markets, Product Strategy, and Index Portfolio Management. This role will lead cross-functional projects with marketing, compliance, and technology to innovate and enhance our investor outreach. 

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior ETF Marketing Manager?
  • Content creation: 

    • As part of ‘go to market’ product launch plans, lead the development of product stories that articulate an ETF’s unique value proposition  

    • Develop scalable product support materials (pitchbooks, flyers, emails) 

  • Frequent partnership with ETF Business Leaders, ETF Capital Markets Specialists, and ETF Sales Specialists to develop marketing and servicing materials, defining messaging and tactical approaches. 

  • Maintain and fine-tune product messaging for existing suite of ETFs as markets and priorities shift 

  • Collaborate with the Canadian Marketing team to develop and execute ETF marketing strategies and plans across events, brand building, social media, and advertising. 

  • Work with PR to develop strategies and tactics to promote our ETF offering. 

  • Consult with regional marketing teams in EMEA and the U.S. to drive ETF business results 

  • Monitor marketing communications of competitors and maintain an awareness of present trends, best practices, and client needs. 

  • Own marketing-operations tasks and administrative duties, with an opportunity to work across the organization to find technology solutions to increase efficiency, scale, and to ensure accuracy. 

What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful? 

Knowledge, Education & Experience:

  • 7+ years’ experience in an investment product marketing/communication role, working with senior investment professionals and product teams. 

  • Knowledge of investment concepts, with a focus on ETFs. 

  • Expertise in regulatory and industry rules, guidelines, and standards. 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in economics, business, or marketing.  

  • Other industry qualifications/licenses a plus. 

  • French speaking a plus 

Skills & Abilities: 

  • Applies investment industry and ETF knowledge to the creation and execution of marketing materials  

  • Strong verbal and writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to write for different audiences and mediums (e.g., print, web) to ensure effective, consistent messaging and branding. 

  • Proven track record of success in executing strategic communications plans, including: 

  • Creative development of a wide range of prospecting and servicing marketing materials (e.g., sales presentation pitch books, product profiles/fact sheets, etc.). 

  • Management of compliance oversight and coordination to ensure all materials adhere to established policies, procedures, and controls for audit purposes. 

  • Superior project management skills, with demonstrated proficiency in establishing and driving complex projects from inception to completion. 

  • Adaptable to changing priorities, new requests, innovative approaches to workflow, and working under tight deadlines. 

  • Experience working with cross-functional and multi-channel teams within a large, global organization (e.g., sales/marketing, client service, management, legal, performance, and graphics). 

  • A true team player, translating prior knowledge and experience into strong and productive relationships internally and externally. 

  • Assertive, with strong examples of leadership capabilities and strengths in facilitating projects, overcoming obstacles, and problem-solving. 

  • Comfort and excitement around using AI tools
