The NETGEAR AirCard® Wireless division is seeking a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in wireless data communication and product testing. The Software Test team is responsible for the validation and quality assurance of new products, technologies, and wireless features.

This Role Offers Exposure To

  • Wireless network data communication protocols and modem technologies.

  • Industry-standard testing methodologies and techniques.

  • The commercial product development lifecycle.

  • Front-end and back-end test automation, as well as software development best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and automated tests based on customer requirements.

  • Develop automation scripts using Python and socket programming with network simulation tools.

  • Write clear bug reports for any software defects discovered during testing.

  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot customer and field issues.

  • Analyze software defects and verify bug fixes.

  • Enhance and maintain automated test tools.

  • Create comprehensive test plans and write test reports.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in executing moderate to complex test cases.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/ computer engineering / electrical engineering, or related field.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Software test development, programming, or scripting experience with Python, socket communication, and API.

  • Solid understanding of data communication, networking, and wireless protocols.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

  • Attention to detail and technical curiosity.
