As a Software Engineer at Pocus, you will build and improve a web application impacting revenue decisions, collaborate with product and design teams, and ensure high quality and reliability. You'll work across the stack using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, and will be part of a fast-moving, small team focused on innovation and ownership.
The summary above was generated by AI

Pocus exists to supercharge GTM teams. We make every rep a 10x seller. With Pocus, organizations can have fewer, better reps to drive increased pipeline and revenue.

How? We’ve created the world’s most powerful, AI-native prospecting platform.

Pocus influences nearly half a billion in pipeline per quarter for our customers. We’re trusted by high growth companies like Asana, Monday, Canva, and Miro where Pocus powers up to 50% of their pipeline and eliminates 10+ hrs of work per rep per week.

Pocus has hundreds of always-on AI agents doing the manual, tedious work of researching & prospecting so that reps can do what they do best: sell. With Pocus AI agents working for them, rep’s days are simplified. Reps get alerts when compelling events happen, account plans are generated by AI, and agents recommend who to reach out to with the next best action. We’re fortunate to be backed by First Round, Coatue, and execs like CEO Zoom, CPO Adobe, CRO OpenAI, who are helping us usher in this future of sales.

The Pocus team is full of humble overachievers that like to move quickly (we call it shiperate), own our work, give customers superpowers, and create magic for our team… all while having a ton of fun. Join us on this next phase of growth!

About the role

Pocus is a powerful, flexible, and easy to use web application that thousands of users use daily to make critical revenue impacting decisions. The product engineering team is responsible for continually improving and delivering value to our end-users while maintaining a high bar on quality and polish. Full-stack engineers have the freedom to work across the stack — from building snappy user experiences in the frontend, to building powerful APIs that interact with our AI platform. We encourage ownership and autonomy and in this role you will work cross-functionally with our Product and Design functions to build products that solve real customer problems.

What you’ll do

Pocus is powered by React and Nextjs. We use Typescript as our primary development language and communication happens via GraphQL. Postgres is our database of choice. Our application works on top of an AI platform powered by agents.

As an engineer on the Product Engineering team, you will:

  • Build a web-app that is reliable and extensible: Thousands of individuals use this daily to make critical, revenue-impacting decisions. You will work directly with Product, Design, and Customers to drive value and play a key role in making our product feature-rich, stable, and delightful to use.

  • Have complete autonomy: Extreme autonomy and ownership is how we move so fast. At Pocus, you will have the opportunity to influence every aspect of our product and technology.

  • Work with best-in-class engineering practices: We take immense pride in the craft of our work. We don’t skimp on things like code review, developer tooling, documentation, testing, etc.

  • Join an incredible team at a magical time: We’re at the beginning stages of explosive growth. Join a passionate, scrappy, and no-ego team of builders that will inspire you every day.

What you bring

We’re a small team of 3 engineers and we like to move really fast. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has 2+ years of experience building web applications

  • Is familiar with the react ecosystem and is equally comfortable writing frontend code as well as backend APIs

  • Loves working in small teams with a strong bias for action

  • Is not afraid to jump across domains and technology stacks when needed

  • Is collaborative in a remote-first setting and is a strong communicator

  • Has a knack for problem-solving and thinking from first principles

  • Loves shipping early, learning from real world usage, and iterating

  • Holds a high bar for quality and simplicity and takes pride in their work

Compensation & Benefits
This base salary for this role is $120,000 to $240,000. Compensation also includes equity and numerous perks and benefits (listed below).
Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role) and market demands. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified.

Perks and benefits:

  • Best in class medical, dental, and vision plans through our PEO

  • A monthly wellness stipend to help support you in your health goals

  • 401K through Guideline to help you invest in your future

  • Access to mentorship programs through First Round Capital for personal growth and development

  • 10 company holidays and discretionary vacation with a baseline requirement of 2 weeks / year. We work hard but don’t want you to burn out!

  • In person offices in NY / SF or a work from home stipend to help you set up your home office

DE&I: At Pocus, we’re looking for people who are humble overachievers with an ownership mentality and a love for building. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply, even if your skills don’t perfectly match our job descriptions (especially if you’re making a career change or are insanely passionate about AI and the next wave of sales intelligence!). At Pocus, we welcome your diverse backgrounds and celebrate different perspectives that challenge the status quo. We will never discriminate on the basis of religion, color, gender identity, disability, marital status or any other characteristics protected by law.
