About the Role
Are you passionate about building seamless integrations and enhancing user experiences across Microsoft and other ecosystems? Do you thrive on solving complex engineering challenges and delivering impactful solutions?
We are looking for a full-stack Software Development Engineer who is eager to innovate, experiment, and push the boundaries of integration workflows. In this role, you will develop applications that connect 3rd Party technologies with Workday's Contract Lifecycle Management platform. Each project presents a new learning opportunity, requiring you to adapt to different vendor frameworks and create solutions that drive customer value. Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and enhance integrated applications across multiple vendor ecosystems, with a focus on Microsoft Word Desktop integration, SharePoint Embedded, Office Add-ins, Task Pane, Chat, and Microsoft Graph-based integrations

Extend backend services, databases, and RESTful APIs to support integration workflows.

Analyze and resolve customer-reported issues to enhance user experience, reliability, and performance.

Collaborate on application design, CI/CD pipelines, release processes, security reviews, and deployments.

Collaborate with Product Management, SRE, DevOps, UI/UX, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
About You
Basic Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in software engineering, with expertise in HTML, React, JavaScript (or TypeScript), and backend development in an Agile environment

2+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 development, including WOPI, Office JavaScript API, Microsoft Graph API, and Marketplace Applications

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Demonstrated experience building integrated applications and plugins for web experiences

Strong proficiency in RESTful APIs (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python) and event-based messaging (Kafka, MQ) for backend services

Strong understanding of security in web applications and best practices

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
