fabric is continuing to grow our Engineering team! We are looking for a talented and experienced SDE III to help us redefine the e-commerce industry. As part of our Merchant Experience Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and innovating the tools and features that empower merchants to manage and grow their businesses on the fabric platform. This team thrives on creativity, tackling brand-new ideas, and exploring cutting-edge concepts—including AI-powered solutions—to deliver unparalleled experiences for our customers. Your responsibilities:

- System Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of complex full-stack systems, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.

- Full-Stack Development: Build and enhance front-end user interfaces and back-end services using modern frameworks, libraries, and tools.

- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and code reviews.

- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features on schedule.

- Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

- DevOps & CI/CD: Implement and optimize deployment pipelines, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and reliability.

- Problem Solving: Debug complex issues in distributed systems and provide innovative solutions to challenging problems.

- Technical Leadership: Influence technical direction, contribute to product roadmaps, and make data-driven decisions to guide development efforts.


What you bring to the table: 

- 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on full-stack development.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

- Advanced proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Spring Boot, Django).

- Deep understanding of modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Expertise in database design, optimization, and management for both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).

- Strong command of testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

- Proven ability to lead and influence technical decisions at the team and organizational level.


The annual salary range for this position is $140k to $182k CAD.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Actual pay may vary, depending on qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity options, and company benefits (your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process). Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above.
