About the Role:
As a software engineer on the Authentication & Trust Experience team, you will build full stack features and platforms that support three core charters:
- Authentication Platform: Manage identity and authentication systems to deliver seamless, secure experiences across products. Ensure users can safely manage their identity within our ecosystem.
- Trust Experience Platform: Develop full-stack components and APIs that support identity verification, fraud prevention, and authentication systems.
- Transaction Monitoring: Manage systems that oversee AML vendor performance, regulatory reporting, and the implementation of controls to ensure regulatory standards.
You will become a product expert and have the opportunity to influence key decisions that shape the charters you work in. You will build features that hundreds of thousands of customers interact with every single day. Your day to day work will have a direct impact on our customers and business. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager in Vancouver.
You Will:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end systems that drive fraud prevention, compliance, and authentication experiences on Remitly's platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to deliver customer-focused solutions that enhance trust and safety.
- Lead technical discussions, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and advocate for best practices in coding, testing, and system design.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges, improving system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Trust Platform
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering, including some focus on frontend development
- Professional experience with one of the following programming languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Go.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $112-000-$140-000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
