About the Role:

The Delivery Experience team owns the end-to-end customer experience of sending money across borders for Remitly customers. As part of this team, you will be focused on unlocking this journey for customers globally by expanding into new countries and integrating new payment types. As an SDE II on a front-end leaning, full-stack team, you will solve technical challenges to improve money movement customer experience, partnering with several teams across the company.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Design and implement responsive user interfaces that enhance usability and deliver a seamless user experience for internal and external Remitly Customers.
  • Design and implement solutions for ambiguous and complex problems using multiple full stack technologies (TypeScript, React, Java/Kotlin, Go)
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain code quality and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications
  • Report to the Engineering Manager of the Delivery Experience team.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development for web/native applications.
  • Professional experience with one of the following programming languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Go.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming concepts
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $112,000-$140,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
